HR Helpline

Overview

Wherever you are in Australia or around the world, CPO HR Services offers a strictly confidential, discrete and qualified advisory service to people working at every level. If you are an individual employee needing HR guidance and advice, we can help.  Below is an inclusive list that covers situations in the world of work where you (or someone you know) may need independent HR assistance.

A toxic workplace means different things based on your own individual experience.

It might include behaviour that is:

  • Obvious or subtle
  • Direct or indirect
  • Public or private
  • To your face or behind your back
  • Passive aggressive
  • Verbal or via email
  • Occurring either in the office or remotely
  • Consistent with bullying, harassment and/or sexual harassment
  • Making you feel unsafe or fear for your personal safety
  • On site at your regular workplace or off site at alternative work locations including whilst on duty travel
  • From your colleague(s), direct manager or even the most senior levels of management.

Toxicity may also arise as part of actual or threatened disciplinary action or may even be concealed as part of what is being described as reasonable performance management or even a restructure.

CEOs may experience toxic behaviours including from their own direct reports and/or board directors.

If any of these situations may raise concerns for you, then we encourage you to seek support from the following:

The user bears complete responsibility for any subsequent decision(s) that may be taken and understands that any opinion, guidance or advice does not constitute legal advice and/or therapeutic intervention.
